Stuffed morel mushrooms

Stuffed morels are delightful mushrooms and can be stuffed to perfection for a gourmet delight.

Ingredients
 Morel mushrooms( large size)- 40 grams
 Chicken mince- 150 grams
 Garlic paste - 2 tablespoons
 Shallots- 1 very finely chopped
 Olive oil - 1 tablespoons
 Fresh Parsley/ cilantro- 1 tablespoon fresh chopped
 Salt and Pepper - to taste
 Paprika- 1 teaspoon
Instructions
Preparation of Chicken filling

  • Take the chicken mince in a bowl, add garlic paste, chopped shallots, herbs and spices.
  • Add the olive oil and keep it aside.
Preparation of Morels

  • Soak the morels in 100 ml of water for 2/3 hours. Once hydrated take the morels and rinse them under running water.
  • Carefully remove the stems from the morel mushrooms, ensuring the caps remain intact.
  • Drain the excess water and pat dry the morels.
  • Stuff the morels with the prepared chicken mince and set them aside.

Cooking

  • Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Add the stuffed Morel mushrooms and Sauté until they become slightly firm but not burnt.
Serving

You can serve the stuffed morels with morel sauce, mushroom sauce, over salad, or with garlic bread.
You can replace the chicken mince with vegetables like Bell peppers, corn, beans and carrots, potato mash, cottage cheese or soya mince for a vegetarian version.
