The price is reasonable considering all the amenities included with the vacation rental. It’s big enough for 14 people and amenities include air conditioning, fully equipped kitchen, game room, high speed internet, and appliances like TV with cable, DVD player, coffeemaker, microwave, telephone, etc. They also have a pool table and ping pong table for the grownups. And, I’m pretty sure the kids will be really excited about this, they have their own private pool! Yay! And in case they get bored, there’s an amusement park and an amusement park near the vicinity. Wow huh? How I wish I could go with them! I’m actually more excited about the vacation rental than the Disney trip. Haha!

Back to the Disney trip, the cousins already went on a Disney cruise last year so I’m sure this is nothing grand compare to that. But this my nephew’s first time on a Disney trip and I’m really excited and happy for him. I’ll just ask him to buy some stuff for the the kids and maybe I could ask him to look for the green peas toy from Toy Story 3 for me or anything green pea. I’d definitely love that and I’m sure the kids will be very happy too.

This is Yoon Ji Hoo, a character played by Kim Hyun Joong (김현중) in the Korean drama Boys Over Flowers (꽃보다 남자). So, what’s the story behind this? Boys Over Flowers is the one which started it all… my Korean craze and my love for SS501 (Hyun Joong’s singing group).

Last February, I went to Batangas with my aunt and uncle again. I was missing the boys (SS501) and I was thinking I should get my SS501 fix no matter what. One day, my cousin, uncle and I went to the market. I saw this tiny barbershop (a kiosk) in the middle of the market. And what really caught my attention were the Boys Over Flowers posters posted all over the shop. I didn’t have my camera with me then so I thought I’d go back there just to take a picture. I did go back the next day but the shop was closed. Since it was just a kiosk, it was covered with heavy cloth. So, I lifted the cloth and sneaked my head through one of the windows and took this shot. It was really embarrassing because the people from the other shops might have thought that I was a burglar or something. Haha!

I was thinking of going back again to ask if I can buy the poster but it never opened again that day and I had to leave for Manila the next day. Sigh. Hopefully, it’ll still be there when I go back there next year, maybe.

Tteokbokki (떡볶이)

Tteokbokki (떡볶이) is a popular Korean street food. There are actually many variants of this dish but the most popular is the modern one which is rice cake, meat, boiled egg, vegetables with gochujang, a hot paste made from chili peppers.

I’m not really a spicy food eater but I’ve learned when I went to Thailand. And now it’s like deva ju since I’m liking anything Korean. It looks yummy, doesn’t it? It is!!! Love it!
