Since I’m into anything Korean these days, I thought of trying out Korean food. And not just the more common Korean barbecue or beef stew… I’m thinking bibimbap (mixed rice), jjajangmyeon (wheat noodles with thick salty black soybean paste), tteokbokki (stir-fried rice cake with vegetabls) to name a few. I still have to find a cheap Korean grocery store near my place for some of the ingredients. For the meantime, Korean instant ramen will have to do.
I’m not really into spicy food. First time I really ate something spicy was when I went to Thailand in 2000. And I really ate the chili. My friend made me do it and I did! Yay for me! Haha! We put chili on almost everything we ate. I was so proud of myself. Since then I’d never eaten spicy food again until now. I bought three kinds of Korean ramen, hot, mild and kimchi, and tried them all already. The hot one was really hot (obviously) and the sting stayed on the tongue for about 10 minutes. The mild one was almost the same, I didn’t really think it was mild at all. The kimchi one was the real mild one. Here’s a photo of the kimchi ramen:

I put in an egg which helped neutralized the spiciness. I also topped it with real kimchi to make it taste a little authentic. And of course, eating wouldn’t be complete without chopsticks!
